Steve Foster is the head of original content at Adaptive Studios, overseeing development across the company’s television, film, publishing and digital arms.
Before joining Adaptive, Foster was at HBO Films, responsible for shepherding projects through the development and production process. While there, he worked on various films, including Behind the Candelabra (Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie); Bessie (Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie); Clear History, Confirmation, Mary and Martha; Muhammed Ali’s Greatest Fight, Notes from the Field, and Paterno. Foster also worked with Adaptive Studios on Project Greenlight season four, which chronicled the making of the film, The Leisure Class.
Prior to HBO, Foster worked at Scott Free, where he helped oversee the development and production of several films including Gladiator (Academy Award® for Best Picture) and Hannibal.
Foster also has experience in production, where he executive produced numerous national and regional television commercials. He holds an M.A. from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
